I know this has been weighing heavily on people’s minds, this question about who is most qualified to assist our beloved librarians with their daily librarianing. But today’s your lucky day! I’ve done all of the thinking for you in an effort to get you over into my camp. No library is complete without a hot, manly vampire.

1.Vampires don’t complain about working late.

Let’s face it, putting away all those books can be tedious work. Even my vampire, Michael Vanderhorst, says he’d rather sunbathe than deal with this mess, though he loves books.

But hiring a vampire will get the work done faster and leave more time for what’s really important: reading!

2. Vampires are great at story time. Especially if the story is scary!

You know how some libraries have story time for kids? Well vampires are notoriously awesome storytellers. They love lore, myths, and getting into character. Want a story to come to life? Have a vampire read it. Or, if you’re one of those parents who has a kid who’s not so into books, a vampire can scare the bejeesus out of them and change their minds.

“Read, child! One hour a day. No more. No less. Or I will come to your room in the middle of the night and read to you. Do you want that? Do you..?”

Noooo!

3. Vampires have likely read everything in the library. So who better to help others find the perfect book?

Mr. Nice, the very ancient vampire in my new book said it best. “I am over a thousand years old,” he yawns, “and I have read everything here.”

4. They’re hot.

5. They’ll kill any thugs who come after your books.
And if don’t believe me, watch the video!

Are you convinced? If yes, now you can read the book and see if I was right! Because this 400-year-old vampire is about to have his existence derailed by the sweetest little librarian ever.  HOPE YOU ENJOY!

With Love,

Mimi

From New York Times Bestseller Mimi Jean Pamfiloff comes a Horribly Sunny Mystery, The Librarian’s Vampire Assistant.

NOBODY MESSES WITH HIS LIBRARIAN. . .

Who killed Michael Vanderhorst’s maker? It’s a darn good question. But when the trail brings Michael to hellishly sunny Phoenix, Arizona, his biggest problem soon becomes a cute little librarian he can’t seem to stay away from. He’s never met a bigger danger magnet! Even her book cart has it out for her. And is that the drug cartel following her around, too?  “Dear God, woman! What have you gotten yourself into?”

Things go from bad to worse when local vampires won’t play nice.

Can this four-hundred-year-old vampire keep his librarian safe and himself out of hot water? Can he bring his maker’s killer to justice? Yesterday, he would’ve said yes. But yesterday, he didn’t have a strange connection with a librarian. Yesterday, people weren’t trying to kill her.
